One Step At A Time

Patrick Cannell 2018
One step at a time can save eight or nine
Back to the start, while learning the art.
Don't rush to the finish, errors will diminish.
Stay on the line, one step at a time.

Never let the rush of blood instruct you.
Choices made in haste may well destruct you.

One throw at a go. Two strings on a bow
Gets in the way while learning to play.
Lay powder and sand, one brick in the hand
Fits into place. No, it's not a race.

Numbers on the clock are a distraction,
Focus on the details of your action.
